Discovery of damage to an underground drainage system will require crews to close the northbound Base Line Road off ramp on Interstate 15 from 11pm on Friday, February 23 through 5am, Monday, February 26, to allow for repairs to be performed.

This 54-hour continuous closure of the ramp is necessary to allow the contractor to dig out the damaged portion of the drainage system, perform the necessary corrections, and replace the roadway and adjacent shoulder back to operation in time for the Monday morning commute traffic.

A detour for motorists seeking access to Base Line Road will be signed to navigate travelers from Foothill Boulevard (located one exit to the south) to Base Line Road in Rancho Cucamonga. Base Line Road itself will not be impacted during the weekend operation. Motorists traveling in the area should expect minor delays and plan accordingly.
