In every community, parks are more than just green spaces; they are hubs of recreational activities, social gatherings, and places where residents find solace and serenity. Richard Rollins Park and Veterans Freedom Park, nestled in the heart of our community, have long been cherished by residents and visitors alike. However, maintaining these beloved parks requires periodic upkeep and improvements to ensure they continue to serve as vibrant centers for outdoor enjoyment. It is with great anticipation and a touch of inconvenience that we announce the temporary closure of these parks for essential maintenance and surface replacement.

The decision to temporarily close Richard Rollins Park and Veterans Freedom Park is not taken lightly but is essential to ensure the parks remain safe and enjoyable for years to come. The primary focus of this closure is the replacement and rejuvenation of various surfaces within the parks.

The closure of Richard Rollins Park and Veterans Freedom Park is a community investment in our future. While it may cause some temporary inconvenience, the result will be two parks that continue to enrich our lives. The maintenance and surface replacement project is a testament to our dedication to preserving these green oases for generations to come.

We understand the importance of outdoor spaces, especially in today's fast-paced world. During this temporary closure, we encourage residents to explore other nearby parks and recreational areas. Our community offers a wealth of alternatives to ensure your outdoor needs are met.

The temporary closure of Richard Rollins Park will be from 9/25/2023 - 10/10/2023.

The temporary closure of Veterans Freedom Park will be from 9/26/2023 - 10/3/2023.

A residence shows visible damage from flooding, mud and debris following severe winter storms that began Dec. 23, which brought heavy rain and debris flows to mountain and high desert communities across San Bernardino County. This week, the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors approved recovery-related fee waivers to help eligible property owners repair and rebuild as response and long-term recovery efforts continue.
