The San Bernardino Valley College (SBVC) Foundation invites guests to taste the culinary offerings of the San Bernardino community at Taste and Tour on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. Tastings from Raising Cane’s, Arrowhead Catering, Pick Up Stix, Iron Skillet Catering, Postrecitos Cakes and Cupcakes, BJ’s Restaurant, Septembers Taproom and Eatery, Corky’s Homestyle Kitchen and Bakery, Hangar 24, and State Street Winery will be featured in addition to those provided by SBVC’s own Culinary Arts Program.

The community will also get to know SBVC faculty and students while browsing interactive demonstrations provided by SBVC educational programs. SBVC Music, Theater Arts, and Dance will perform. English faculty will provide literary readings. SBVC Art faculty and students will demonstrate glass-blowing, and guests can create their own painting at the “Paint and Sip” station.

Auto-Collision and Diesel will showcase hybrid cars, engines, and a hot rod they are working to restore. Demonstrations by Water Technology and Welding will highlight their fields. Athletics will feature games, a football clinic, and more. Student Equity and Success will show the Valley 360 Student Resource Center.

From the sciences, Geography will demonstrate fluorescent minerals and GIS technology, and Biology will showcase a bug and plant demonstration including a bearded dragon, stick bugs, and an on-campus living laboratory in the nature walk and pond.

Finally, KVCR will be on hand with on-air personalities, many of whom graduated from the Radio, TV, and Film program at SBVC.

The SBVC Foundation holds its first Taste and Tour fundraising event Thursday, September 27, 2018, opening at 5:00 p.m. on the (SBVC) campus. Tickets are $50.
