Dear District 5 Residents,
This Sunday, May 14th, we will celebrate Mother's Day! This day holds great significance as we pay tribute to mothers' incredible love, resilience, and strength in our community and worldwide. Mothers play an invaluable role in shaping their children's lives and nurturing future generations.
I am particularly thankful for my mother, who worked tirelessly to provide for me and my family. Her passion for education inspired me to value its power and to pursue teaching. She has always supported me and my aspirations throughout life and has attended all my graduations and swearing-in ceremonies. She defines the characteristics of love, grace, and compassion.
As we celebrate Mother's Day, let us take a moment to express our gratitude and love to the incredible women who have shaped our lives. Whether it's your mother, grandmother, aunt, or any other mother figure, let them know how much they mean to you.

¡Este domingo 14 de mayo celebraremos el Día de la Madre! Este día tiene granimportancia, ya que rendimos homenaje al increíble amor, resiliencia y fortaleza de lasmadres en nuestra comunidad y en todo el mundo. Las madres desempeñan un papelinvaluable en la formación de la vida de sus hijos y en el cuidado de las futurasgeneraciones.
Estoy especialmente agradecido con mi madre, quien trabajó incansablemente paraproveer a mí y a mi familia. Su pasión por la educación me inspiró a valorar su poder y aseguir la enseñanza. Siempre me ha apoyado y a mis aspiraciones a lo largo de mi vida yha estado presente en todas mis graduaciones y ceremonias de toma de posesión. Elladefine las características del amor, la gracia y la compasión.
Al celebrar el Día de la Madre, tomémonos un momento para expresar nuestra gratitud yamor a las increíbles mujeres que han dado forma a nuestras vidas. Ya sea su madre,abuela, tía o cualquier otra figura materna, hágales saber cuánto significan para usted.
