Suspect Arrested in Homicide Case

On February 04, 2022, at approximately 1024 hours, San Bernardino Police Call Center received a 911 call regarding a shooting at 1774 North Fairfax Drive. Patrol officers were dispatched and found the victim, Emmett Marcus Stokes, on scene suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Stokes was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Homicide detectives responded and conducted an investigation. After following multiple leads, detectives identified Stringfellow as the suspect responsible for shooting Stokes. An arrest warrant was issued for Stringfellow for P.C. 187- Murder.

On February 10, 2022, at approximately 1956 hours, San Bernardino Police Call Center received a 911 call regarding a shooting in the 1300 block of North Arrowhead Avenue. Patrol officers were dispatched and found the victim, Terrance Coates, in his vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound. Coates was pronounced deceased at the scene. Homicide detectives responded and conducted an investigation. During the investigation, detectives identified Stringfellow as the suspect in the shooting death of Coates. A vehicle owned by Stringfellow’s mother was also identified as the vehicle used in both murders.

On February 16, 2022, investigators with the San Bernardino Police Department attempted to arrest Stringfellow on a murder warrant in the city of Redlands, CA. After a brief foot pursuit, Stringfellow was taken into custody and a handgun used in one of the murders was recovered nearby. The vehicle used in both murders was also located nearby. Stringfellow is a self-admitted PPHG gang member. Stringfellow was arrested on two counts of murder and was booked into a local jail facility.
