Although these uncertain times may not be over, yet, we as a community can still do all that we can to pull together, support one another, and still find ways to have fun and enjoy life, while staying safe.

An easy way to give back to your community is to shop local and support our small businesses. We here at your local City News have developed a fun and exciting program that gets you, the community, back to your favorite local businesses and allows your local businesses to give back to you in return.

Local businesses all over the Inland Empire are participating in the CNG, Inc. sweepstakes opportunity drawing and are giving away free weekly prizes. Community members can submit entries every day by clicking on every ad with the sweepstakes “Bag of Money” icon on the City News Group website to win even more weekly prizes and for the chance to win the grand prize of $1,000 on December 3rd, just in time for Christmas.

Katy Moetell and Tiffany Smalley are this week’s winners of the City News Group, Inc. $1,000 sweepstakes opportunity drawing. As this week’s winners of the weekly prize giveaway, Moetell and Smalley have both won a free dinner for two at local favorite restaurants!

Smalley, has won a free dinner for two from Vicky’s Restaurant in Colton and is looking forward to receiving a free meal to share with her husband and take a nice break from the kitchen.

Smalley, a resident of Colton, is a stay-at-home mom for her two children ages five and seven. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic and not being able to take her children out of the house, Smalley still looks on the bright side.

“Being at home 24/7 makes it a little difficult, but I am still very grateful for being able to stay home and it hasn’t really affected our family that much,” Smalley said.

Smalley remembers one of the last times she was able to go out with her husband before the quarantine mandate.

“[In] February, my husband and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary. That was the last date we have been on out of the house. We’ve done a few in-home dates, trying different cheeses while playing Scrabble, trying different chocolates from Trader Joes, etc… So a gift card to a nice restaurant will be a nice change for our at-home dates, a nice meal I don’t have to prepare together!”

Vicky’s Restaurant has a variety of crowd favorites that will more than please anyone’s tastebuds! They serve complete breakfast, lunch and dinner menus.

The breakfast menu ranges from unforgettable classics like country fried steak and eggs, Huevos Rancheros, egg burritos, omelets, breakfast sandwiches, French toast, and pancakes.

The lunch menu includes over 15 different types of sandwiches, over 13 types of crowd-favorite mouth-watering burgers, specialty hot dogs, burritos, tacos, quesadillas and a variety of fresh salads.

Vicky’s dinner menu satisfies every member of the family and makes a perfect family meal with dishes from Grilled Chicken, fish, pork loin chops, shrimp, steak sandwiches and fried chicken.

“At Vicky's they don't just have burgers but also delicious milkshakes and also a range of fantastic desserts to round off your meal, they are worth the calories,” Vicky’s Restaurant said.

“Chosen as the official burger at several major venues, to be enjoyed by the fans, it is sure to please the crowd at your house too. Why don’t you come and give us a try?”
