San Bernardino Police Officers conducted a traffic stop on a 2005 Acura MDX while patrolling our city. The driver Mark Anthony Arrnerogalvan (DOB 06-18-1991), was observed to have committed multiple vehicle code violations. He was also found to have an outstanding DUI arrest warrant and a suspended driver’s license. During a search of the vehicle, a catalytic converter that appeared to have been freshly cut was located. San Bernardino District Crimes Detectives responded to the scene and conducted the main investigation. Arrnerogalvan’s vehicle had been previously identified as being involved in the ongoing catalytic converter thefts. Arrnerogalvan was transported to the San Bernardino Police Station, where he was formally interviewed, and admitted to his involvement in catalytic converter theft. Arrnerogalvan acknowledged that he knew the catalytic converter located in his vehicle was recently stolen. Arrnerogalvan was transported to the San Bernardino County Central Detention Center, where he was booked and lodged for his outstanding warrant and receiving stolen property. The investigation is still ongoing; if you have any additional information which can help solve this or other crimes, or you would like to speak with an investigator, please contact Detective R. Whitmer (909) 384-5668 whitmer_ro@sbcity.org or Sgt. M. Aranda at (909) 384-5642 or aranda_ma@sbcity.org.
