Update in Homicide Case

On Monday, July 01, 2019 at 9:00AM the suspect in this case, Albert Cain, 58 of San Bernardino, turned himself into the SBPD Homicide Unit. He was later booked at West Valley Detention Center. It was determined during the investigation that an argument ensued involving family members at the residence just before the shooting. The suspect was related to the to the victim and there are no suspects outstanding at this time. We are still asking for the publics assistance with any information regarding the incident.

SYNOPSIS: On 6/30/2019, at approximately 2:42 a.m, the San Bernardino Police Department’s Dispatch Center received a call of a shooting in the 1400 Block of West Lomita Court and officers were dispatched to the scene. Officers arrived and found the adult male appeared to have been shot. The male was transported to a local hospital were he succumbed to his injuries. Detectives have not located the suspect and are actively looking for him at this time. The Homicide Unit is currently working the investigation and asking for the public’s assistance with information regarding this incident.
