Veterans Day Ceremony

Next Monday is Veterans Day, and I’m incredibly proud of our City’s deep military roots. Many veterans and military families call Moreno Valley home, and with March Air Reserve Base right in our backyard, our community knows the true meaning of service and sacrifice.

To help us honor our veterans, please join me, the City Council, and some very special guests at this year’s Veterans Day Ceremony on Monday, November 11 at 11:00 a.m. at the Moreno Valley Veterans Memorial at the Civic Center.

Dedicated in 2007, Moreno Valley’s Veterans Memorial features the "Fallen Soldier" statue by Richard Rist, symbolizing the ultimate sacrifice. Surrounding the statue are granite panels engraved with the names of our fallen soldiers, as well as a peaceful rose garden and olive trees, adding to the beauty and serenity of this special place.

Our Military Appreciation Banner Program provides the opportunity to recognize local service members actively serving and show our appreciation. We also have the Veterans Memorial Paver Program, where you can have a paver inscribed to honor a loved one who served and sacrificed for all of us.

I look forward to seeing you at the Veterans Day Ceremony on the 11th, and I’m grateful for the unity and respect our City shows our heroes every day.

Thank you, Moreno Valley, for being a community that never forgets.
