Woody’s Classic Grill Expands into Colton With New Woody’s Roadhouse Location

A beloved local favorite has officially expanded. Woody’s Classic Grill, a staple in the Grand Terrace community for the past eight years, has opened a second location in Colton under a new name — Woody’s Roadhouse — bringing with it the same hometown hospitality, hearty meals, and community-focused spirit that has made the original restaurant such a success.

Owners Mike and Lori Miller, long-time Inland Empire residents, have officially opened their new Colton location at 201 East Valley Boulevard, on the corner of Valley and 9th Street. Though the restaurant has only been open for a few weeks, it is already drawing in locals with its warm atmosphere and value-priced steakhouse menu.

“We’ve been in Grand Terrace for eight years, and God has blessed us with a wonderful business, a wonderful crew, and best of all, wonderful guests — and a wonderful community,” said owner Mike Miller.

The opportunity to expand came when the Dominguez family, owners of the property, reached out directly and expressed that they specifically wanted Woody’s at their Colton location.

“They came to us and specifically wanted Woody’s to be there,” said Miller. “At first, we went back and forth trying to figure out what concept would work since the locations are only eight minutes apart. Then I remembered how many people were disappointed when Pinnacle Peak closed. Everyone talked about wanting a steakhouse back in the area — so everything just fell into place.”

To serve both communities without overlap, the Millers designed the new Roadhouse concept with its own unique breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus. While the Grand Terrace location offers a combined menu for lunch and dinner, Woody’s Roadhouse in Colton features fully separated menus for each mealtime, giving regulars even more variety.

Woody’s Roadhouse is open every day from 7:30 AM to 8:30 PM, closing only on Christmas Day. The restaurant features:

  • A cozy, rustic Roadhouse-style interior
  • Plenty of accessible parking
  • A warm, welcoming atmosphere
  • Affordable steakhouse favorites and classic comfort meals

Miller, who started his restaurant career at just 15 years old working at the McDonald’s on E Street in San Bernardino, has spent over 52 years in the restaurant industry, working his way up from dishwasher to owner of multiple full-service restaurants.

“It’s the people — the employees and the guests — that make this business special,” he said. “As long as there are more pluses than minuses, we keep doing what we’re doing.”

Local Colton resident Patricia Flores stopped in for dinner and shared her first impression of the new Woody’s Roadhouse.

“It was delicious. It was my first time trying the peppercorn steak, and it was really good — really good,” she said with a smile.

Flores praised not only the food but the feel of the space.

“The service was excellent, and the ambiance — I love it. That’s the first thing I said when I walked in. It just feels cozy. It feels like home. The decor, everything — and we’re car people, so we love the decorations. I love it.”

She also noted the easy parking and convenient location.

“We live right here in Colton, and we found parking right away. It was great.”

With a grand opening and ribbon cutting scheduled soon, Woody’s Roadhouse is already becoming a new community gathering spot — just like the original Woody’s Classic Grill in Grand Terrace.

“We’re blessed — truly blessed — to be able to serve this community,” said Miller.
