Description: Event will take place rain or shine. Guests may park on the street. Hike participants must start up the mountain between 8 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. and start down no later than 12:00 p.m. and be back at the staging area at Honey Hill Drive and Palm Avenue by 1:30 p.m. Dogs on leash are welcome to join, but owners are asked to clean up after them. Distance and altitude markers adorned with rocks painted by community volunteers will help hikers track their progress. The hike is 3.24 miles round-trip, with an elevation gain of 1,092 feet. Participants who reach the peak will receive some special prizes and offers. There will be a devotional hosted by Azure Hills Church, at 11:00 a.m., at the top of the mountain and all are welcome to join. Visitors may purchase “I Hiked Blue Mountain” shirts (limited availability) for $15 - $20, or “I Hiked Blue Mountain Visors” for $10. Cash will be the only form of accepted payments. Hikers will also be able to donate cash.
