Description: The free Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program is offered by the Redlands Fire Department’s Emergency Management Division. The CERT program educates average citizens about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization and disaster medical operations. The Redlands CERT program is offering a free 20-hour training program beginning Friday, March 4, from 6 to 10 p.m., and continuing from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 5, and Sunday, March 6, at the Redlands Community Senior Center, 111 W. Lugonia Ave. Participants must attend all three days to complete the training. A second session will be offered on Friday, Sept. 9, through Sunday, Sept. 11.
