Grand Terrace CrossFit held a successful Grand Opening and ribbon cutting ceremony last Saturday, May 31st, at 21800 Barton Road, Suite 109. Current members of the personal training gym, members of the Grand Terrace Chamber of Commerce, and several interested and supportive community members attended. Grand Terrace CrossFit is now providing a way to enjoy the process of becoming healthier in a sustainable manner to the local community. Current members expressed the benefits of the program at Grand Terrace CrossFit after the WOD (Work Out of the Day), held before the ribbon cutting ceremony. One of the members, Hannah Sons, commenting on her first full month at Grand Terrace CrossFit saying, “It is amazing to feel the positive difference in such a short time, both mentally and physically.” Another member, Deanne Delfin, said “It is a different adventure every time,” expressing her appreciation for the variety of the workouts offered. The owners truly believe that the beauty of CrossFit is that it makes working out fun again while incorporating all the things you really need to be a fitter you. Many people, members and visitors alike, commented on the facility's appearance and the convenience of the Kids Corral, an on-site area to keep the kids busy while mom and dad get fit. It is divided from the rest of the gym by a pony wall that allows you to keep an eye on your kids, while at the same time keeping them safe from running into the workout space. Supervision is offered during the evening workouts, a service offered free of charge with any membership. If you are curious about what a CrossFit class would be like the owners offered up this description. “You come into class. Your workout has already been programmed by a skilled training team. Your Certified Professional Trainer is there to teach you any skills necessary to complete a WOD and get you moving better. Your trainer and class cheer you on. You are led through cool down and stretching. You chat and make a new friend. You feel better and stronger after ONE class.” Those interested are encouraged to check out their website at www.grandterracecrossfit.com or call (909) 659-4441.
