Stephanie Valdez, Branch Manager of PNC Bank delivered a presentation at this past month’s Grand Terrace Chamber of Commerce meeting to inform business owners of the resources available at the bank to make banking needs easy.

“PNC Bank has been around since the 1800s and started their presence in California just recently,” said Valdez. “What does PNC stand for? Pittsburgh National Corporation of Pennsylvania and Provident National Corporation of Pennsylvania.”

Pittsburgh National Corporation of Pennsylvania and Provident National Corporation of Pennsylvania were two big regional banks within Pennsylvania that merged in the 1980s to become PNC bank, Valdez informed.

Right now, PNC Bank has 59 branches in California. One is located in the city of Grand Terrace and other branches are found in the neighboring cities of Riverside, Moreno Valley, Corona, and Ontario.

“The branch here in Grand Terrace has been in that building I was told since the ’60s, and we have seen blueprints,” shared Valdez. “It has been around a long time.”

“PNC is a full commercial institution. We do business banking and consumer banking, and I specialize in business,” said Valdez. “So, we can provide you with any of your commercial lending needs, treasury, managing needs, and deposit needs.”

Valdez continued, “We do retirement and business succession planning for your business. So, if you need anything like that, we are happy to help!”

Happy to share a little about herself Valdez said, “I'm fairly new to PNC, but I am not new to banking. My first job in college was as a part-time bank teller, and then I just worked my way up the ranks and eventually became a manager of my own office. I love small businesses, and I love employment development. Those two are my favorite things that I love to do, and I love to do it in Grand Terrace! It reminds me of that small-town feeling.”

“You know, banking has taken a beating these days with the volatility up and down,” commented Valdez. “But PNC is the 7th largest in deposits in the nation, we have about 560 billion in assets, and so we are a strong bet for your banking needs.”

PNC is located at 22729 Barton Rd, Grand Terrace, CA 92313 for more information, call  (909) 783-3040.
