Finding information about City services and resources is easier than ever. The City of Moreno Valley recently introduced its new AI-powered virtual assistants, Mo and Val, a dynamic digital concierge team available 24/7 on the City’s website, moval.org.

Located at the bottom of the City’s homepage, Mo and Val are designed to make interacting with the City faster, easier, and more accessible than ever. Whether residents are checking in from home or on the go, the virtual assistants can provide real-time information, ranging from permit applications and trash schedules to recreation programs and City Council meeting information.

Powered by cutting-edge generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology, Mo and Val pull directly from the City’s website content to deliver accurate, timely, and relevant responses. Best of all, they continue to learn and improve the more they are used, creating an increasingly helpful and personalized experience for residents.

"We’re always looking for opportunities to enhance community connection, and Mo and Val are an exciting step forward," said Mayor Ulises Cabrera. "By combining innovative technology with our commitment to exceptional customer service, we’re making it easier for residents to access information, ask questions, and engage with their City at a time and place that works for them."

In addition to their intuitive chat capabilities, Mo and Val feature multilingual support in more than 70 languages, ensuring that all Moreno Valley residents, regardless of language, background, or ability, can access critical City information and services in a way that works best for them.

Since launching, Mo and Val have already assisted over 2,200 residents and recorded more than 3,400 interactions. The City will continue to monitor usage analytics to improve services and identify new opportunities to meet community needs.

Residents can visit Mo and Val at moval.org and click the chat icon at the bottom of the homepage.
