RadNet (NASDAQ: RDNT), a national leader in providing high-quality, cost-effective outpatient imaging services, announces the formation of ImagingWorks® -- a trailblazing training program for careers in the imaging industry. Created in partnership with JVS SoCal, a workforce development non-profit and social service agency, the program is set to spearhead industry advancement. ImagingWorks®, is a training program for careers in the imaging industry, launched by RadNet, a company specializing in outpatient imaging services.

ImagingWorks® will encompass a dynamic training program, including internships and job placement upon graduation at one of RadNet’s imaging centers or at other similar diagnostic imaging facilities. The goal of JVS SoCal and the ImagingWorks® program is to help close the opportunity gap in a specialized field that equips students for well-paying, meaningful careers in medical imaging.

ImagingWorks® will include an entry-level program lasting approximately 12 weeks, which will include programs in DEXA (Bone Densitometry), PSR (Patient Service Representative), and MRI Tech Aide with MR Safety Training. As the program grows, additional programs will be offered in Ultrasound and MRI, plus a more complex accreditation by issuing associate degrees for radiologic technologists. Students will get on-site clinical training with dedicated mentors, in addition to online classes in various courses.

“This unique partnership between RadNet and JVS has the potential to have a tremendous impact, not only on the workforce here at RadNet and on the imaging industry at large, but on the lives of so many people who will benefit from the ImagingWorks Program,” said Norman Hames, Chief Operating Officer at RadNet. He added, “The formation of this program reflects one of RadNet’s core values, which is to give back to the communities we serve, whether that’s through providing imaging services to underserved populations, or now, by providing education and employment opportunities.”

ImagingWorks® is generously funded by the Berger Family Trust, which shares JVS SoCal’s mission to help people achieve dignity and economic independence through sustainable employment.

“RadNet intends to support the program with curriculum formation, training, internship programs and in some cases, tuition reimbursement and scholarships,” said Howard Berger, M.D., RadNet’s President and Chief Executive Officer.

RadNet has been a leading employer-partner of JVS SoCal, especially in the CareerWorks Medical® program, having hired dozens of graduates since 2019. “Through its generosity, RadNet continues its legacy of community giving and social responsibility,” said JVS SoCal CEO Jeff Carr.

Information on ImagingWorks will be available on the JVS SoCal website (www.jvs-socal.org) and a dedicated website is currently under construction.
