Spring Events in the City

Spring is here, and our seasonal events are in full bloom!

A couple of weeks ago, Moreno Valley held its first-ever Sunshine Eggstravaganza Adaptive Egg Hunt, a sensory-friendly experience designed for kids ages 3 -13. The event featured springtime-themed games and activities tailored to unique needs, allowing every child, regardless of physical or cognitive ability, to share in the excitement of the season.

And I’m thrilled to share that our familiar favorites are also returning this month.

For starters, on Friday, April 4, the Carla J. Thornton Teen S.P.O.T. at the Conference & Recreation Center (CRC) is hosting the annual Glowing Crazy Egg Hunt. It’s a fun glow-in-the-dark egg hunt featuring food, games, music, free glow accessories, and a chance for participants to win exciting prizes. You can register your teen by going to moval.org/teenspot.

I’m also excited to invite MoVal families to our Springtastic celebration, on Saturday, April 12, from 9 a.m. to noon at Sunnymead Park, located at 12655 Perris Boulevard. It’s a free, family-friendly event featuring festival games, a Youth Fun Zone, delicious food, and a special egg hunt!

Then, on April 19, at 6:30 p.m., the highly-anticipated Adult Flashlight Egg Hunt returns to Laselle Sports Park! This isn’t your typical egg hunt: It's for the kid in all of us! Grab your flashlights and your bags, and get ready to scramble for 12,000 eggs filled with candy and special prizes, including gaming systems, tablets, laptops, 55” HDTVs, and more. There is no on-site registration, so you’ll need to sign up in advance, either online or in person at the CRC.

Mark your calendars and let’s make this a month to remember. For more information on these events and more, visit moval.org/parks. You can also call 951.413.3280 or email specialevents@moval.org.
