In a proud moment for the city of Grand Terrace, the park formerly known as Pico Park has been officially renamed Veterans Freedom Park, accompanied by the installation of stunning new signage. This transformation reflects not only a change of name but also the community's deep appreciation and respect for the sacrifices made by our veterans.

The decision to rename the park was driven by local citizens who participated in a recent vote expressing their strong support for honoring our heroes. Their unanimous choice to rename the park emphasizes the community's commitment to recognizing the importance of freedom and the sacrifices that accompany it.

The new signage, prominently displayed at the entrance of Veterans Freedom Park, is a beautiful tribute to this commitment. Crafted with care and adorned with symbolic imagery, the sign serves as both a welcoming feature and a reminder of the values that the park now represents. Residents have expressed their excitement over the signage, noting how it enhances the park's identity and honors the service of the veterans.

Community members have gathered to celebrate this change, sharing their joy over the park’s new look and its meaningful name. Families, friends, and veterans are now able to come together in a space that embodies the values of remembrance and community pride. The new signage not only marks a physical transformation but also signifies the unity of the residents in supporting such an important initiative.

The project has been met with enthusiasm and appreciation, with many acknowledging the efforts of local sponsors and volunteers  , & members of  The Veterans Freedom Wall who played a key role in bringing the new signage to life the Freedom Wall . Their dedication to this project showcases what can be achieved when a community collaborates to honor its values and heritage.

As residents of Grand Terrace gather to enjoy Veterans Freedom Park, they can take pride in the beautiful new sign that greets them. It stands as a reminder of the community's gratitude for the freedoms we enjoy and serves as an invitation for all to reflect upon the contributions of those who have served. The park now not only represents a place of recreation but also a symbol of unity, respect, and appreciation for our veterans.
